No question of it. And I think it’s the economy.

I think there’s a fair amount of evidence that there’s frustration with me. But I’m going to turn that around.

They’re likely to learn about our accomplishments. And I think they’re likely to learn about what I want to do in the next four years to build on these accomplishments; the emphasis being on education, the emphasis being on doing better to make these neighborhoods safer, winning the anticrime battle, pointing out the progress we’ve made, incidentally, on drugs. We’ve gone further on that. I put health care up there as important. And I don’t think people realize we have a health-care plan.

Well, I’ve heard them say that, but I don’t see them demonstrating against the 1,500,000 abortions every year. I don’t see them ranting against that. I don’t see them standing up for parental notification, which I think is vital. So I would argue if pro-choice people are saying that they are not pro-abortion. They are.

Well, it’s too hypothetical. I mean, if they support it. I’m not saying my granddaughter has a right to choose. I’m saying if she makes the choice, I’m going to love her and help her and care for her and hold her close to my heart. That’s what I’m saying. They’re trying to distort that to make my-my position is well known on abortion. It hasn’t changed. But you asked me about a family member who had to face a problem of that kind.

If my daughter committed a crime, was involved in a robbery–I used this example yesterday–I would support her. That doesn’t mean I’d condone her committing that crime of robbery. I think there’s quite a distinction there. I mean, you see–I don’t see this disconnect.

No. I see him as a formidable opponent.

I don’t think it has to be particularly mean, but I’ll be darned if I’m going to sit back and do what I’ve been doing for the last six months.

No. Somebody else asked me that and I literally have not. Maybe it’s just my chemistry; I don’t think that way. I don’t do that in sports and I don’t do that in real life, and I damn sure don’t do it in politics. I just never functioned that way. And, certainly, you don’t do it before the game starts, and this one hasn’t started. This one has not begun.
